About the study

My name is Andrew Kemp, and I have been researching my family history since 1985. When I was growing up I was interested in our family and asked the questions of "who are we related to?" and "where do we come from?". After many years of being told not to ask, interest got the better of me and I began researching my family history. Then the genealogy bug bit and off I went.

I began the Kemp/Kempe/Kempf/Kemps/Kempt One-Name Study in 1993, in an attempt to break down my paternal Kemp ancestor who emigrated from England to Australia. I am always interested to hear from anyone with an interest in Kemp/Kempe/Kempf/Kemps/Kempt or Camp. Please see my contact details below.

25+ years of research has not as yet, made any substantial breach, but has extended my knowledge of this family and its variants world-wide. Daily I continue to be contacted by other Kemp researchers and to find out more Kemps to add to our growing database. Presently, there are over 300,000+ individuals in the Kemp ONS database, with a large and growing number of reconstructed trees.
